Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Bonhoeffer was a theologian, pastor, and spy who was killed on April 9, 1945. One of the most important Christian writers of the 20th century, he is a unifying figure between conservative and liberal Christians, and is admired for his courageous stand against the Nazi Régime. He pleaded for a faith demonstrated through actions (though they be unpopular) and exemplified a complete trust in God's love and care for God's world, as witnessed to and by his Son, Jesus Christ.
